WHY “EDUCATIONAL”?
On the basis of experiences developed since the beginning, EDAS, s.r.o. decided to sustain education and training as main pillars for the growth of the country, not only according to economical and industrial results, but notably in human and “global” terms. Through contacts with youth and school institutions, EDAS, s.r.o. promotes integration of different cultures and equal opportunities for all students, even by assigning scholarships.
COOPERATION WITH SCHOOLS
Edas Educational collaborates in the training field also with various Slovak universities: Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava – Faculty of chemical and food technology, “Alexander Dubček” University in Trenčín – Faculty of Mechathronics, and Agriculture University in Nitra – Faculty of Economy and Management.
Moreover EDAS started active cooperation with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. On 9 April 2008 this Milan university institute sent to Slovakia Dr. Matteo Verga.
Today, our company goes beyond mere teaching of Italian language, and engages also in intercultural debate, in order to eliminate stereotypes about Italy and the Italians in the collective imagination of the Slovak population. At the same time EDAS promotes progressive and constant integration of local labour force within production structures that settled in the given territories and also within those who are still being built.
Through its presence in the territory, by providing professional and educational opportunities, EDAS contributes to increase social and economical level of concrete Slovak region; and for such purpose, it also takes advantage of the support of prestigious institutions.
COMMON PROJECTS BETWEEN SCHOOLS AND COMPANY
EDAS started several projects with the aim of spreading Italian language and culture in Slovakia. So far the projects were developed in Veľký Krtíš, Malý Krtíš, Levice, and Košice.
This activity started in March 2008 as a support mean for the PRUPAMAK project. The project was supported by the European Social Funds and included an education pattern destined to some local unemployed people.
On the basis of such model, EDAS organized Italian language and culture courses in different Slovak companies (also in cooperation with local institutions) and public professional requalification courses (in cooperation with local institutions).
